Aster Capital

The brief
Aster Capital had spent fifteen years earning the trust of a small, fiercely loyal set of clients. Referrals kept the lights on, performance kept clients happy, and the brand had never needed to do more than exist. Then the next generation of wealth arrived — younger, more sceptical, and impossible to reach through a golf-course referral. Aster was trusted by the people who knew them and invisible to everyone who didn't. We were brought in to make a quiet firm legible to a louder world without cheapening it.
The thinking
Most fintech shouts. It promises returns, leans on FOMO, and treats trust as something you can manufacture with a slick app. Aster's whole advantage was the opposite — patience, judgement, decades of not blinking. So we refused to make them look like a startup. We built an identity around restraint: confident, spare, almost old-money in its calm. The strategic bet was that to a generation exhausted by financial noise, the brand that doesn't perform urgency reads as the only adult in the room. Trust isn't claimed. It's the absence of trying too hard.
The work

The result
Ruffdraff made us legible without making us loud. New clients now arrive already understanding who we are.
